“The Ancient Magus’ Bride” is an honest fantasy manga about a non-human and a young girl that has sold over 10 million copies. An anime project was started in 2016, and it has been well received both domestically and internationally, from the OAD “The Ancient Magus’ Bride” to the 2017 TV anime.
And from April 2023, the long-awaited TV anime “The Ancient Magus’ Bride SEASON 2” will start broadcasting. The second season of this work, which won the hearts of fans with its sophisticated visuals and reached its final episode, will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels from Thursday, October 5, 2023! !

First of all, Takeuchi, the host, cheerfully said, “Hello, everyone! Thank you for coming to the advance screening of the second season of the TV anime “The Ancient Magus’ Bride SEASON 2” today!” Tanezaki, Kawase, Tsuda, Yamashita also greeted the audience with a big smile on his face.
This work is based on a fantasy manga about non-humans and girls by Kore Yamazaki. Season 1, which aired in 2017, depicted a lonely girl, Chise, meeting the non-human wizard Elias and growing up. From SEASON 2, which is currently being distributed, the story takes place at a college where magicians gather. The first season ends when someone steals the manuscript of the “Carnamagos Testament”, a forbidden book that is sometimes connected to the life and death of living people, and the school is sealed off. The second season, which follows, depicts the search for the forbidden book, Carnamagos’ will, and the human relationships of the students in the locked-down school. Regarding the 13th episode that was screened that day, Tanezaki said, “The action was amazing! The conversation between Elias and his friends was also really good!” It’s good to see the interpretation come to fruition,” he said with great enthusiasm. Yamashita was very excited and said, “There was a lot of action, and each student’s weapon was good.”

Tanezaki picked up the scene from episode 2 where Chise and Alice perform magic. “I couldn’t choose, so I narrowed it down to this scene.I love demons, and it’s a wonderful scene that makes me think of it as “Mahoyome”.In the second season, being a wizard becomes important as well.” said.
Tsuda chose the scenes from episodes 5 and 11 where Lucy strokes Zoey’s snake. “Lucy’s gaze softened when she understood Zoe through living things, and I thought, “You’re such a cute girl!” The way she touched the snake was also nice,” she said, loving the gap. Kawase and Yamashita cited the scene in episode 12 where Isaac pulls Philomela’s hand after Lisbeth tells her that it’s a failure. Kawase said, “For me, it was a scene of salvation. This was the last scene, so I thought, “It ends here…” It’s a memorable scene.” Yamashita said, “Kotaro Nishiyama, who plays Isaac Fowler, also said that this scene was his favorite.The relationships that began in the first season deepen and expand in the second season. I’m looking forward to the second season to see how things change.”
Takeuchi uploaded the scene from episode 6 where Chise and Elias talk about husband and wife on the roof. Takeuchi said, “For Elias, he’s on the rooftop thinking about his own feelings for Chise, and then Chise comes up to him…I thought it was so emotional! In terms of confirming emotions, this is the best scene,” and Tanezaki agreed, saying, “This is a scene you can’t miss!”

The human patterns are interesting, and in the school arc, the number of people increases and the characters’ pasts come out, so the story becomes deeper.” Yamashita said. Looking back on the dubbing, Kawase said, “There’s a unique interpretation of the anime that’s different from the original work,” and “I felt the difficulty of acting and the joy of dialogue.” Takeuchi also recalled, “The story progresses with the sense of an anime, so even the dubbing recording had a lively atmosphere compared to the first season.”
